Location literally across from the station so 5 min walk at most. We were able to drop off cases early and Check in later which left us free to explore. Rooms clean and the view we had was great. Lift to all floors so no lugging cases upstairs. Accessible room was large with wheelchair access. Breakfast was wonderful with cereal, juice, toast, tee, coffee and yoghurt there for self service. Full English available as is full veggie breakfast; other options available too. Evening Sushi restaurant served a really tasty meal at a very reasonable price for approx £20 a head. Other style food available too. Bar open 24/7 which meant we were able to have a couple drinks and relax before bed at midnight.

Breakfast was very good as was our evening meal in The Captain's Table restaurant at the hotel. There was free parking in a small car park at the side of the hotel and we were allowed to stay until 2pm after checking out, which was helpful. The hotel is ideally situated for visiting the Historic Dockyard, Gunwharf Quays outlet shopping, and the Spinnaker Tower and it is only a short walk to Old Portsmouth. The train, IOW ferry terminal and buses are opposite the hotel. There was daily room service. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Penelope

Hotel looked a bit tired from the outside, but inside it was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were well equipped & spotlessly clean. Guy on the bar is a great asset to the Hotel, he made us very welcome & was really good company. Great location for visiting the Historic Dockyard. Free parking, just let the Hotel know you are parked when you arrive. If travelling by train, the station is just across the road from the Hotel.

Tracey

A 6 star experience for 3 star cost!!! Excellent food especially the Japanese menu, decor in pristine condition and the captain's dinning room was like a stately room complete with. the admiral's uniform! Bedroom was large with very well equipped bathroom all in clean perfect condition. And the location of the hotel complete with secure carpark was within 5 minutes of all the main Portsmouth attractions and bus/rail station. A perfect stay.

Charles

The hotel was perfectly situated for exploring Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. The harbour boat tour was fantastic and we enjoyed walking about the harbour. There is a free pass to walk about and go in the pier building 4 if you don’t want to spend a full day going through each ship and museum. Breakfast as great each morning of our two day stay.
